Capital Growth Medvest is developing a new 60-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Tacoma, Washington. The new facility is a joint venture between Kindred Healthcare, Inc. and CHI Franciscan Health. The hospital is designed for patients undergoing recovery from complex surgery, such as neurological disease, stroke, and brain injury. The new facility is projected to open during the first half of 2018.

Kindred Healthcare is a Fortune 500 company and one of the largest private employers in the United States. Kindred's team will be managing the daily operation of the facility. CHI Franciscan, an affiliate of Catholic Health Initiatives, has almost 12,000 doctors nurses and staff across 19 states in the Pacific Northwest and is the third-largest nonprofit health system in the United States.
